Dear PuzzleUp Contestants,

In order to clarify the meaning of the term "consecutive numeral pairs" a note in parentheses is added to the first paragraph of the question text.

Our apologies for any inconvenience.

Have a nice competition.

   [Number Game] A Real Challenge

This game would be easier if you could guess the same number twice in a turn. . . The original puzzle statement seemed to allow it, and I was confident in my answer until I found out that the 4 numbers guessed in each turn had to be distinct!

   [Number Game]

I found a nice solution, which was probably intended, after asking my questions yesterday. Tough one, though.

Nice problem! Got an answer thru trial and error. Would be eager to know if there exist a generalized algorithm for such problems. But only at the end.

   [Coins] Difficulty

When I look at the scoreboard I see too many people still have the highest score possible. I appreciate the more difficult puzzle (which I consider this to be one of) to separate better at the top end of the scale :)

   general comment on participation

My suggestion on incresing the number of participants is to give at elast the correct answers to these lovely questions at the end of the competition for each participant in order to motivate them for the next run.My best regards to the organisers as the problems become more life based ones regardless of their degree of difficulty which is a subjective matter

   Difficulty and Popularity

Dear puneets,

As you may have noticed, in the comments page there is a “Comments for Problems” section which enables our contestants to submit their views about any problem. Using this section, the contestans may vote for the popularity and the difficulty of a problem on a five point scale. The figures given on the PuzzleUp website is simply the arithmetic mean of these votes, expressed on a percentage scale.

We wish you a nice competition,

PuzzleUp Team

Dear late_nighter,

You have the right to change your answer, as explained in Rule #9. Your last answer will be taken into account. If your answer is wrong, you will get zero points from that question.
